You can open Pepperstone in the UK, Cyprus, Australia or the UAE, see the same familiar brand and still be dealing with a different company. The difference is easy to miss because the trading platform and logo stay the same. It becomes important when you need to check a licence, read the right client agreement or find the correct complaint route.
Our answer is deliberately practical: do not ask only “Is Pepperstone regulated?” Ask “Which Pepperstone legal entity is named in my application and agreement, and which regulator record matches it?” This guide maps the main public entity records and gives you a contract-first check you can repeat before funding an account. If you need the general process first, use our legal-entity verification checklist.
Short answer: Pepperstone’s public pages identify separate entities for the UK, EU, Australia, the UAE/DIFC and international product issuance. They also state that legal documents vary by entity and applicable regulation. The regional page is a useful starting point; the company named in your current client agreement is the account-level answer.
Checked 2 September 2026: routing, permissions, addresses and document versions can change. Save the source URL and check date with your own agreement.
This Pepperstone legal entities by country guide is narrower than a broker ranking. It does not rate Pepperstone, predict returns or decide whether an account is suitable. It shows how to match a brand, company, regulator and contract without collapsing them into one label.
The entity map: five public records, five different jobs
| Route or record reviewed | Company named by current public sources | Regulator or reference | What the record helps you check | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Pepperstone Limited, England and Wales company 08965105 | FCA FRN 684312 | The UK company name, reference and UK legal-document set | That every visitor, product or account is UK-contracting |
| European Union / EEA | Pepperstone EU Limited, Cyprus company HE 398429 | CySEC licence 388/20 | The Cyprus entity and its public regulator record | That every European resident receives the same route |
| Australia | Pepperstone Group Limited, ACN 147 055 703 | ASIC AFSL 414530 | The Australian company and financial-services licence number | That retail and wholesale clients have identical terms |
| Dubai DIFC | Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Limited | DFSA reference F004356 | The DIFC firm’s authorisation scope and retail-client endorsement shown in the register | That a DIFC record is the same as every UAE or international account |
| UAE introduction and international product issue | Pepperstone Financial Services LLC; Pepperstone Markets Limited in The Bahamas | CMA 20200000358; SCB SIA-F217 | The difference between an introducing/consulting entity and a product issuer | That the UAE page alone tells you the company in your signed agreement |
The final column is the part most comparison pages omit. A regulator page can prove that a named firm exists in a register. It cannot, by itself, prove that the firm is your counterparty, that a product is available in your country or that a future complaint will qualify for a remedy.

United Kingdom: match the company, not just the Pepperstone name
Pepperstone’s UK homepage identifies Pepperstone Limited as an England and Wales company under number 08965105 and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under FRN 684312. Its UK legal-documents page says the UK terms govern the relationship with Pepperstone Limited and that the applicable entity and regulation are made clear during the application.
That gives you three fields to compare: the full company name, the FCA reference and the company number. The FCA’s clone warning is a useful reminder that a real firm’s reference can be copied by an unrelated website. Search the FCA independently and compare the domain and contact details as well.
- Copy “Pepperstone Limited” exactly as it appears in the proposed agreement.
- Search FCA FRN 684312 on the FCA’s own domain and open the permissions, status and contact fields.
- Record the agreement version and the date you checked it.
European Union: Pepperstone EU Limited and the CySEC record
Pepperstone’s EU support page identifies Pepperstone EU Limited, a Cyprus company with registration number HE 398429, authorised by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission under licence 388/20. The CySEC public record independently lists the same company, licence and company number, and shows an approved Pepperstone domain.
There is a useful detail for careful researchers: the CySEC record viewed on 2 September 2026 lists 3 Myronos Str, 3035 Limassol, while Pepperstone’s current EU help page displays 195 Makarios III Avenue, 3030 Limassol. An address difference is not automatically evidence of wrongdoing. It is a prompt to save both dates and ask Pepperstone which registered address belongs to the agreement you are being offered.
Do not turn “EU route” into “one EU protection package.” Confirm the client category, the product document and the entity named in the contract. The Cyprus register is evidence about the firm and permission; it is not a substitute for reading the account terms.
Australia: AFSL 414530 still needs an account-level match
Pepperstone’s Australian site names Pepperstone Group Limited, ACN 147 055 703, and Australian Financial Services Licence 414530. ASIC’s professional-register guidance explains that a search can be made by company, licence number, ACN or ABN and can show status, address and website fields.
Use that register search to test the Australian identity. Then open the current Product Disclosure Statement and client agreement. Retail and wholesale classifications can change the documents and safeguards you receive, so “ASIC regulated” is only the first line of the check.
- Match Pepperstone Group Limited, ACN 147 055 703 and AFSL 414530.
- Save the PDS and agreement that were presented to your application.
- Write retail or wholesale status in a separate field; do not infer it from the website design.
The UAE example: three roles that should not be merged
Pepperstone’s UAE legal page is the clearest example of why a brand-level answer can mislead. It lists Pepperstone Financial Services LLC as a CMA-licensed entity under licence 20200000358 for Introduction and Financial Consultation. It separately lists Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Limited, which the DFSA register identifies under reference F004356.
The same UAE page names Pepperstone Markets Limited in The Bahamas as a product issuer under Securities Commission of The Bahamas licence SIA-F217. In plain language, the company introducing or arranging an account is not automatically the company issuing the product. A UAE visitor should therefore look for the role of each company, not just a single “Pepperstone UAE” label.
This does not mean that every UAE applicant receives all three entities. It means the public materials describe different legal roles. The application, client agreement and product document tell you which one matters for your account.
International and Bahamas records: do not import UK assumptions
Pepperstone’s legal material identifies Pepperstone Markets Limited in The Bahamas as a product issuer and gives the SCB reference SIA-F217. The SCB material located for this review includes a published registrant list, but public regulator documents can be updated or archived. Use the live SCB register where available and treat an older PDF as supporting evidence, not the final word.
Most importantly, do not carry a UK or Cyprus assumption into an international agreement. Check the governing law, complaint process, client classification and the exact issuer before depositing. If a sales message promises a protection that the agreement does not name, pause and ask for a written explanation.

Five fields that should match before you fund an account

If a field does not match, stop before funding and ask Pepperstone to identify the contracting company in writing. A mismatch is not automatically proof of a clone. It is a reason to collect better evidence instead of relying on a logo, affiliate link or chat message.
A repeatable seven-step Pepperstone entity check
- Use your actual country of residence. Do not substitute nationality, language or the country shown by an advert.
- Start the current application without paying. Note the regional page, product and entity shown before submission.
- Download the proposed agreement and key product documents. Save the files with the retrieval date.
- Copy the exact company identity. Include company or branch number, regulator and reference.
- Open the regulator independently. Use the FCA, CySEC, ASIC, DFSA or SCB domain rather than an unverified link in a message.
- Compare role, domain and permissions. A real licence number attached to a different company is not a match.
- Resolve every mismatch before funding. Keep the written answer, source URLs and check date in one evidence record.
Our Broker Evidence Comparison tool can help organise the company, regulator, reference and source-date fields. If you already have a dispute, the Broker Complaint Route Finder helps you start with the entity and country instead of sending the same complaint to every group company. For a broader introduction, read our existing Pepperstone entity overview and the XTB country-route case study.
What this guide cannot tell you
- It cannot confirm which entity holds an existing account without that account’s agreement.
- It is not a complete Pepperstone country-eligibility list.
- It does not rate service quality, withdrawal speed, trading performance or suitability.
- Authorisation does not guarantee safety, profit, complaint success or recovery.
- A regulator reference does not prove that a website or salesperson using it is genuine.
- Rules and legal documents can change after this article’s check date.
The practical conclusion
Pepperstone is not a single row in a global “regulated broker” list. It is a brand connected to several legal entities, with different roles and public records. Start with your residence and the regional page, but finish with the company named in your agreement.
Save the full name, company number, regulator reference, role, agreement version, source URLs and check date. That small evidence file is more useful than a star rating when you need to know who you actually contracted with.
